WBEN 930 : Buffalo Bills Assist County With Budget Crisis

Illuzzi reports that the Bills have "deferred" their $3,500,000 handout from Erie County. WBEN says that the team has agreed to wait for some of the county money it is owed this year.
The team has agreed to forgo a portion of that payment this year, although they are not saying exactly how much, and the money will eventually have to be paid, but without an interest penalty.
With respect, a PR coup for the Bills would be to let the county (and, therefore, the people of Erie County) off the hook for this payment for a year. Or two. This kind of vague statement doesn't fill me with civic pride and love for that particular multi-million dollar enterprise.
