Today

Today the Legislature finally makes the cuts necessary to put the budget in balance. Today is, for many people, a very sad day. I sympathize with them, on a personal level. On the other hand, today is also a satisfying day from a macro standpoint. The taxpayers were heard. We said, "enough". We told government to start fixing its own house. Today is the first day of the rest of Erie County's life.
