Arrest whom?

This story was all over the local news yesterday because it contained the magical words "Amber Alert." A woman left a 1-year old kid in a running car while she went inside the house to unload groceries. The car was stolen with the kid inside it. Thankfully, the child was found unharmed. When my daughter was that little, I wouldn't so much as EXIT my car without her coming with me, as inconvenient as it might be to, say, lug an infant and some dry cleaning with me. Here's a novel idea for this woman: bring the kid in the house first, and then unload the groceries. Heck, you might even take the keys to the car with you.
