This from today's Buffalo News:
With Erie County headed for financial meltdown, what does the man who unsuccessfully ran against County Executive Joel Giambra have to say?
"You mean, besides, "I told you so?' " Dan Ward asked.
Ward says he hears many voters are looking for bumper stickers making it clear they voted for him, not Giambra.
The Amherst town councilman reminds people he warned about the county's vulnerable financial condition during the 2003 campaign.
Now, Ward faces another loss at Giambra's hands.
He's been handed his pink slip, notifying him that he'll be laid off as a staff lawyer for the County Legislature.
Should he run again for county executive, Ward has come up with a new campaign slogan.
"I have a smaller family," he says.
