Getting it wrong
Illuzzi has a write-up by "staff" (who, apparently, can't tell the difference between "your" and "you're") on Spitzer's visit to Cheektowaga last week. I have a busy day, so I won't fisk the whole thing, but suffice it to say that the writer's got a bias and the writer doesn't get it, (and/or the writer is disingenuous.)
Illuzzi's also dead-against consolidation, which is really the only way this region will move forward. If we don't create a new form of government to reflect the fact that all of Erie County sinks or swims together, then we will lose more population, have higher taxes for fewer services, and become an even worse economic basketcase and punch line.
Finally, for some inexplicable reason, Illuzzi makes an ill-conceived comparison between Stasia Vogel's anti-abortion piece, which is sort of poorly written, and her daughter's excellent piece on consolidation in Sunday's News.
